Chairman William J. Schwartzkopf resides on the Waccamaw Neck. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Tennessee. He served as Assistant Executive Director of the Waccamaw Regional Planning and Development Council for 20 years. He has been an officer on various homeowner associations.
Vice Chairman Louis R. Morant resides in western Georgetown County. He holds a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and is a partner in the Georgetown law firm, Morant & Morant. He previously has served as a member of the Georgetown County Planning Commission and the Georgetown County Accommodations Tax Committee.
Secretary James B. Wilkie resides on the Waccamaw Neck. He received a B.A. degree from the Citadel and an M.B.A. from University of Washington in Seattle. He is a retired business executive and program manager with Textron, Inc. and Rohr in San Diego, CA. He also is active in the Murrells Inlet 2007 revitalization organization.
Assistant Secretary James H. Dunn resides in western Georgetown County. A native of Andrews, he holds a degree in Business Administration from Presbyterian College and he is the owner of Dunn’s Variety Store in Andrews. He also is a member of the Andrews Revitalization Association.
Board Member Arthur H. Lachicotte, Jr. resides on the Waccamaw Neck. He has a degree in Horticulture from Clemson University. He is the owner of the Lachicotte Company, a full service real estate sales and management company. He is a founder and member of the Board of Directors of Plantation Federal. He has been extensively involved in several major developments in the Waccamaw Neck area including Wachesaw Plantation, Caledonia, True Blue, Lower Waverly, and Caledonia and True Blue Golf Courses.
Board Member Jimmy E. Rowe resides in western Georgetown County. He served the Georgetown County Fire Department for 25 years and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Area School District Advisory Board for 25 years. He has also served as a member of the Water and Sewer Regionalization Study Committee for Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties and is a member of the Omar Shriners. He is employed with Neff Rental.
Board Member Chester Maslowski resides on the Waccamaw Neck. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Wayne State University. A native of Detroit and a retiree of the Daimler Chrysler Corporation; where he held the position of purchasing executive manager.
